I was in line at the office checkout counter in the grocery store the other day when the lady in front of me asked the checkout clerk if her "shopping cart cover" had come in.
This intrigued me. A shopping cart cover? Why in the world would this lady want to "cover" her shopping cart? Was it for when it rained?
It obviously confused the checkout clerk too, because the look on her face was "huh?" Then she blinked and said, "Oh you mean a cover for the shopping cart seat, right?” The lady in front of me confirmed this and said, "All you have in stock right now are blue ones, and I want a pink one for my baby daughter," As she held out her baby girl for all to see.
Wow, the things you can buy for your baby now!
Personally, I believe this is an excellent baby gear idea, especially for babies who can sit up and are teething. I don't know how many times I have seen babies sitting in the cart with their mouth on the handle! Yuck! Plus, just putting their little hands on the cart's handle and then putting their hands in their mouth can pass on lots of nasty germs.
So, should one of your baby gear items be a baby shopping cart cover? Yes, definitely!
